For The Aesthete In You
A Wanderlust tour is a boutique experience that expertly showcases the unique contemporary culture of each exotic destination we offer.
Our escorted tours are small — a maximum of 10 people — with a focus on an exclusive experience. On a Wanderlust tour, you'll enjoy fine dining, high-end shopping and specialized introductions to the region's most exciting artists and design studios. We give you firsthand exposure to the history, current events and cultural developments of our select destinations.
In life and in art, the full sensory experience is mankind's highest aspiration. The touch of luxury, the complexities of fragrance, the texture of taste, the spectrum of sight, and the harmonies of sound are at the heart of every Wanderlust Art Tour. The Pleasure Principle is our only principle and we invite you to engage every sense and indulge in the extacy of play. Come away with us and experience Wanderlust!
A self-described nomadic art addict, Ingrid has been exploring and working in the international art world for the past 15 years. As a result, she acquired an intimate knowledge of global contemporary art trends. The art maven founded Wanderlust to share this knowledge and her practice of traveling through the lens of art.
Ingrid began her academic studies with a B.A. in Art History from Spelman College and went on to pursue her M.A. from New York University with a concentration in Museum Studies and Sociology. In 2012, Ingrid founded Maison LaFleur, a boutique art advisory firm. Maison LaFleur specializes in emerging and established artists from Africa and the diaspora. The firm provides private art education, advises on collection development and maintenance and produces exhibitions and art projects. She has worked with artists and arts organizations in New York, Atlanta, Paris, Johannesburg, Cairo and a host of other cities.
Ingrid has presented at Centre Pompidou (Paris), Bucknell University (Lewisburg, PA), TEDxBrooklyn, TEDxDetroit, Creative Mornings (Detroit), Oakland Community College (Southfield, MI), University of Bayreuth (Bayreuth, Germany), Center for Creative Studies (Detroit), and Society for Film and Cinema Studies (Seattle). She has appeared in Paris Vogue, Essence Magazine and Styleline Magazine.
As an independent curator and art advisor, Ingrid finds the luxury within the innovative. She combines her specialized knowledge in contemporary art and design with travel to create an unforgettable experience. For Ingrid art, travel and luxury is a way of life.
